Yu Ming provides all teachers with the proper visa to live and work in China.  Many of our teachers choose to stay with us for a number of years. 

By signing on with Yu Ming teachers must agree that they will not moonlight with other teaching companies.  In addition, as in any country, you must agree to abide by all Chinese laws while living in China.

Yu Ming takes our commitment to our teachers seriously.  When you join with Yu Ming you are not just a member of the team but a member of a global family!  We offer two compensation packages for teachers to choose from:

1.  Comprehensive Pay Package:

If it is your first time in China you may want to choose this package which provides teachers with a care free transition to life in China.  If you choose this option you will work 25 teaching hours per week and enjoy a monthly salary of 5,000RMB.  An apartment is provided by Yu Ming and upon successful completion of one year of teaching Yu Ming will provide a return airfare ticket or equivalent cash bonus for teachers that decide to stay in China.

2.  Time Based Pay Package:

Our time based pay option is preferred by most veteran teachers.  This package pays teachers according to the number of hours they teach, a good average starting pay per month is about10000RMB.

Under this plan teachers teach 18 to 25 teaching hours per week and teachers are responsible for finding and maintaining their own accommodations.

NOTE:  the above pay scale is relevant to teachers during the probationary period.  Pay raises are awarded based on time and quality of instruction.

Things to Consider:

Yu Ming complies with summer and winter vacations.  Typically students get 4 to 5 weeks off around the Chinese New Year (Jan or Feb) and also about 5 to 6 weeks off for summer vacation (July to August).  During both breaks you have the option of either taking time off (unpaid) for travel or relaxation or you may choose to take part in the summer and winter language camps that Yu Ming offers and enjoy your normal hourly pay.  The choice is yours!
